Marlins and Blue Jays finishing blockbuster trade involving Josh Johnson, Mark Buerhle, and Jose Reyes - #Yeahbuddy
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a blockbuster. The Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays are completing a blockbuster trade that will send starting pitchers Mark Buerhle and Josh Johnson to the Blue Jays, and shortstops Adeiny Hechavarria and Yunel Escobar to the Marlins. Jose Reyes may also be in the deal going to Toronto.
There is still a lot to be finalized with this trade, but it looks like the Marlins are in fire sale mode once again.
UPDATE: Reyes *is* in the deal, as are John Buck and Emilio Bonifacio. So far, the prospects we know heading back to the Marlins aside from Hechavarria and Escobar include Henderson Alvarez, Justin Nicolino and Jake Marisnick.
UPDATE: It's either Marisnick *or* Anthony Gose, along with one of three catchers: JP Arencibia, Jeff Mathis, or Bobby Wilson.
